Free CVS Toothbrushes & More
I had a great CVS deal shopping trip for Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes this week. I had a $5 off $15 total order coupon I received in an email from CVS. I knew that if I combined it with the Spend $10 on CVS Oral Care get $10 Extra Bucks I could get some free stock for my shoe boxes.
My daughter Sarah, from Simply CVS, does my shopping for me. I just told her to find some deals for my shoeboxes. After getting the toothbrushes she decided the Bandaids @ $3.49 get $2.50 back would be a good addition (I see a Dora themed box in my future). She still needed about $1 more to reach the $15.00 so she got the small memo book for 99 cents.
I had reached my $50 CVS Beauty Club spending last week so a $5 Extra Buck printed at the scanner. Unfortunately I had spent all my extra bucks last week, but
I had a free CVS gift card I had earned from Swagbucks that I was able to use to pay the balance.
Sub-Total: $15.11
Paid with: $5.00 off $15 Coupon; $5.00 Beauty Club Extra Buck and $5.11 with the Swagbucks CVS gift card.
Received: $10.00 Extra bucks for the Oral Care Deal and $2.50 Extra bucks back on the Bandaids.
NOTE: This is what CVSers would call a "money maker" as I received more back in extra bucks than I paid for in cash and Extra bucks.
Matchbox & Hot Wheel Cars Deals
This report is a few weeks late, but I decided to share my stockpile additions with you so I am catching up. Dollar General had these for buy one get TWO free or about 42 cents each -- we were able to get 36 [I had my mom remove all the packaging.] Shortly thereafter someone shared on Clip With Purpose Facebook page about an online deal at Mattel. I was able to get a pack of 50 Matchbox cars for under $25.00--just under 50 cents a piece. To get free shipping I had to throw in something to take it over $25 so I got this 10 pack of sunglasses on clearance. I used cash I had on hand leftover from last year's birthday money to pay for them.
So far my Packing Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes for Free Experiment is working just fine. I have been able to acquire quite a few things without touching cash from my personal budget. I can't wait to share my Kohl's & Toys R Us shopping trips from gift card wins with you. I am having a ball packing shoe boxes -- if the children who receive them have half as much fun I'd be thrilled!
Have you added anything to your shoe box stockpile lately?
