I got my order from KIPP Brothers this week. So exciting! I now have enough of some of these items for a few years! Mainly fun little bonus items. UPDATE: Here is a post I wrote about each of these items: KIPP Brothers Toys for Operation Christmas Child Review.
I also stopped by Dollar General, and checked out the 70% off Christmas, but all I got was this door hanger, I thought it'd be fun for a child to shake/play with.
Spent from shoebox packing budget: $91.63
Added to stockpile:
- 1 jingle bell door hanger
- 6 Harmonicas
- 12 Wooden Yo-Yos
- 12 Tote bags
- 24 Whistles
- 36 Metal stone Rings
- 48 Turtle models
- 144 Mini dinosaurs
- 144 Train Whistles
- 144 Hoppy Frogs
- 144 Stencil Rulers
Have not heard about KIPP Brothers before. We fill boxes for the older kids, ages 12 to 14. It's not as easy to find clearance items for them. We search for fishing & sewing supplies which we pkg into kits. For each girl I sew 6 sanitary washable pads & a drawstring bag since they have to hide these products from view in many countries. Inserted into the bag are the pads, 2 panties, plastic baggie, soap and small picture instruction sheet. Instead of dresses, which take up a lot of space in big sizes, I sew skirts & buy t-tops. All small supplies like pencils, erasers, scissors are placed into tall drink containers to save space. I sew pencil pouches and one is placed flat in each box. We found this saves space so we can squeeze in more stuff!
